MDR-W07 replacement vertical in ear lightweight band
My MDR-W07 have finally failed. I cannot see anything like them in the market in the way of vertical lightweight in ear headphones. Does any one know of something similar? It seems this product category has died - shame as they were very good.- atcapollo

t50rp on Schiit Valhalla
Is anyone running the fostex t50rps on a Schmitt Valhalla? I fancy trying these ortho's but not sure if the Valhalla will do the justice, I understand they may be better on the Asgard.o- atcapollo

Apple tv 3
Ah so it resamples the signal, mind you I think most AirPlay or web based streaming would be <=48kHz. Did the original Apple TV output at 96kHz, I've seen rumours but no concrete evidence. I'm tempted to pick an ATV3 up later this year for AirPlay but not for my audiophile content/setup.- atcapollo

What happens when the NOS runs out?
I'm thinking of getting a Valhalla, this amp is not designed for tube rolling and is recommended to be used with 6N1P and 6N6P tubes which are NOS from Russia Voskhod. The tubes are stated to last between 3-5k hours which I think gives a tube around 3-4 years of use based on 3 hours use per day...- atcapollo

Schiit DACs (Bifrost and Gungnir down, one to go)? The information and anticipation thread.
has anyone used a USB version yet against Linux (Ubuntu)? is there any indicator on the unit as to the sample rate of the source? I want to be able to check my soundcard isn't doing any upsampling before transporting over optical.- atcapollo

HD650 and Maranatz, Fiio, or Schiit? Need Opinions
Any chance of an update on how you got on with the 650's and Schiit over the Marantz? I'd be very keen to hear your thoughts.- atcapollo

First delve into Head-Fi, component comments? HD650 / Matrix mini-I
good advice on the 30 day return policy, I'm not sure how much I'm going to appreciate the HD-650's and the mini-I due to hearing issues. What's the HD-650 like direct from the mini-I, not sure I can drop £750 in one go on Amp, Phones and DAC. Cheers for your advice.- atcapollo
