Yeah, actually 200~500Hz range. I feel something 'dirty' sound because of that even normal volume range(80~90dB).

  What means the 'sound stage'?

  Yeah, I don't like Golden Ears, too :( The 1/3oct smoothing is ugly and give us less valuable information.

Both of that's sounds like 'downgrading' from HD600 by that's price. So it depends on your budget.

HP50 has good sound but too uncomfort... I am very frustrated :(

NAD VISO HP50 has so natural sound, but it is too,TOO uncomfort.... I think Sony MDR-1R has less sound quality than HP50 but total balance including comfort & build quality is very good.

I was very disappointed by X1 because of attacking high frequency.. .T.T But it's total completeness is not bad, I remember. And X2 has finally removable pads?? WoW!!!

It's mid-high frequency response is more comfortable and reliable  than other Beyer's, but feeling of sub-bass is little light even it has adjustable duct system.
