yes.. the hd650s are worthy of teleporting  you to another world. you may sit back and enjoy them.. but if you really need the best .. go for a STAX electrostatic 2170 or something similar to give you the best quality ..

yup .. Age could surely be a factor here as the treble is an high frequency . Since you already own a hifiman product . Can you please tell us.. how your experience has been with the HE500 and wether HE400S would be a better buy in your opinion?
