K702 / K701 Amp / DAC Suggestions Budget: $300-$400 total
I have a Heed Canamp in the buy sell forum right now for $280. This is a solid state amp that really had great synergy with my 701's! I also just sold a Woo Audio 3 tube amp which was very nice with the 701s as well. So, check out the CanAmp reviews in the forum from about two years or so ago...- Artguy

Where to buy fat ear cushions for KSC75 mod?
I have bought several fatboy ear cushions (at Radio Shack) for previous KSC75 mods, all of which I have given to friends or nephews after I work the Kramer mod dremel tool mod and the quarter mod. The cushions I bought were nice and plump, and helped offset the drivers from the ear very nicely...- Artguy

Allesandro MS2i (Grado) Happiness at last!
A few weeks ago, I posted my unhappiness in my brand new MS2i headphones that had to go back to the factory after only two days use. That brought up a lot of issues of mechanical/cosmetic problems or defect in Grado's product line. That post got a lot of attention, as it seems to be a sore point...- Artguy

Unbelievable... Koss KSC-35
If you have them hang on to them! I had a pair of KSC35 which I liked better than my KSC75, which I like a lot, so that tells you my high opinion I have of them. Anyway, my KSC35's broke and I sent them back to Koss for a new pair on their lifetime warranty, and they sent me back a pair of...- Artguy

Final selection with increased budget: AKG701/Senn 650/600/595 for mastering/mix
AKG 701s will give you really wide soundstage and great detail, and depending on the amp, even good bass. This would be a good choice.- Artguy
