I have recommended beats and bose to my friends before. But whenever asked why I didn't buy beats and bose I usually just say "They are too expensive for the sound I am looking for"

I listened to beats and while I think they are too expensive for the performance, I don't think they are that bad. The only problem I had with them (which may not be accurate since it's not personal experience) is a lot of my friends own them and they don't last long. 

So far from what I read, they had great customer service, but my experience was otherwise. I don't want to bash them publicly especially since my transaction was just around $100. If OP is interested, you can PM me
