Best dubstep headphones for $100?
If you like bass I wouldn't get grados. Grados are known for having a lack of bass. I agree the M50 is a good choice but it is a little over a $100. I would get a pair of Panasonic HTF600 and a cheap portable headphone amp like the Fiio E6. The HFT600 is a nice basshead headphone that is very...- Arise

HELP! HE-300 vs D600 vs MTPG vs M100 vs Others!
Personally I don't think u should get the HE- 300. I use to own them. The main thing that I did not like about the HE -300 was the sound stage, it felt way too narrow for an open back. If u want a Hifiman headphone i would go for the HE- 400, They are amazing!- Arise

Best Headphones Under 200?
If you are willing to do some mods the T50rp is a great choice. I spent under $150 for a pair of T50rp plus all the materials to do the mods. Now my T50 is a beast of a headphone that can compete and beat other high end headphones in the $300 - $ 400 range. If u want to check out my T50...- Arise

Noob Looking for Phones
At that price range I would get a pair of Hifiman HE-400 but they will need a good amp. For a cheaper price I would recommend a pair of Brainwaz HM5. They don't require a powerful amp to sound great, you can play them straight from your mp3 player and get nice results.- Arise

Suggestions needed for < $80 closed
Shure SRH440 are really nice for the price. But if you are willing to raise the price a little and do some mods, I agree Aaron94, get a pair of Fostex T50rp. They are amazing, especially after some mods.- Arise

My DIY Orthodynamic Headphones
Quote: I'm still new to the audiophile world so I may not be the best person at describing sound signatures. The best I can do is compare my headphones to other headphones that I have owned or have tried. I use to own a pair of Hifiman HE-300 and my T50s can compete and beat them in...- Arise

My DIY Orthodynamic Headphones
Quote: 1) For the Pioneer build I made the pads out of leather and for the T50 I used the stock vinyl pads off a vintage pair of Stanton headphones. 2) I built the T50 cups out of red oak. As far as what method I used for the T50, I didn't really follow anyone method to close. I took...- Arise

Over the past year I've discovered the world of high end headphones and since then I have developed an audio fetish. I started my journey trying to find the best headphones for me, but I always seemed to be disappointed. I tried countless of different headphones, everything from Sennheiser...- Arise
