This has been my experience too and it seriously puts me off buying a dacamp unless I'm willing to pay in the $400+ ballpark.- aramk

If you don't like having silicone tips in your ears, then Airpods are your best option afaik. A year on and they're still one of the top choices. If you like a bit of sound isolation, there's a lot of options but I haven't tried any myself. Wired is the way for me so far.- aramk

Air (NANO) by CrazyBaby
Crazybaby is having another go at the wireless in-ear market. They're promising better customer service and a more refined product free from connectivity issues. Anyone else keen to give it a try? I didn't go for the Air and decided to wait for reviews, and it turned out to be a good idea since...- aramk

Air by crazybaby
Yeah, from everything I've heard these aren't a good product. Apart from the Airpods, I've written off the potential for bluetooth earbuds that are practical. Either get wired in-ear and a phone with a jack, or over-ear noise cancelling bluetooth I think.- aramk

Even just passive in-ear silicone tips would make me instantly buy it. There's just too much noise on my commute.- aramk

AirPods
After trying them, I've come to the realisation I don't want a wireless earphone unless it has noise isolation. Preference goes to wireless headphones at that point. I doubt the AirPods will ever have an in ear variant.- aramk

I picked up a pair and was hoping there would be some after market silicone tips to isolate better, but I haven't found any besides Earskinz. It's the only deal breaker for me.- aramk

I tried it in the busy Apple store on 75% volume and while I could make out the clarity and decent bass, the poor/no isolation couldn't be ignored. I'd be listening to songs at 40% with an IEM and be able to appreciate it better. Let's see what happens in this space with other manufacturers...- aramk

Xiaomi In-Ear Headphones Pro HD (2 +1 Hybrid)
I just tried through a few more silicone ones and settled on the double flange from the M6 Pro and it seals better than my foam buds! The sound definitely improves, the bass especially is right where I want it, without the port mod which didn't make a noticeably difference for me. Seal is...- aramk

Xiaomi In-Ear Headphones Pro HD (2 +1 Hybrid)
At least from my perspective, the Hybrid driver Gen 4 had more bass than any IEM I've tried. It was more quantity than quality, but nothing to complain about. The mids were a little recessed and the highs were also fine. Overall a great IEM for value. See the review...- aramk

Xiaomi In-Ear Headphones Pro HD (2 +1 Hybrid)
When I saw it I think it was "HD Audio" compared to the "Hi-res Audio" society approval, though it looked deliberately similar. Also there's no logo on the mi.com site - I've only seen the logo on resellers.- aramk

I'm not committing anything until a few reviews come in next year. I'd happily pay an extra $50 knowing I'm not buying a lemon.- aramk
