    a kingdom of choices

Here's a very basic theory of what the central values of a state should be like. Any thoughts are welcome.. 1. Fundamental value / fundamental right: Individual autonomy is an essential aspect of human happiness. It is also the foundation of self-awareness, reason, and ability to create –...

    proline750 pads for HFI-650??

I'm considering replacing the original pleather pads that came with my Ultrasone Trackmaster HFI-650. Are there any velvet velour pads out there that would fit the 650 directly (without knitting/sewing/cutting/etc)? Would proline750 pads work?

    winamp as default system player

Thanks for the advice. At first I didn’t want to install any Logitech software (they’ve been known to spread themselves all over your system), but this one is rather minimal and the hot-key assignment works great!

    winamp as default system player

I have windows XP and I am trying to set up Winamp as default media player. I know it is possible to go to winamp’s preferences, then to file types and then select “all”. But what I’d like to do is to make it system-default, so that when I press “media” button on my keyboard (logitech ultra x)...

So, I guess I need to send the table back. Do you think it would be unrealstic for me to do it myself?

using foreign (50hz) turntable in US?

I emailed Goldring US and they said they had motors and pulleys but it was four days and they still didn't get back to me about how I can purchase it from them. So, maybe, I the guy who wrote to me backpaddled for some reason. I also emailed Goldring UK and this is what they said: "The...

using foreign (50hz) turntable in US?

Oh... So, if it is DC, it doesn't matter what the cycle is and so the people who've said that it would affect the speed were thinking of the AC-driven turntables. Interesting... thanks for the tip! Well, as I mentioned, my TT is Goldring GR1 released early in 2004, so it probably has a DC...

using foreign (50hz) turntable in US?

That might be just crazy enough to work. Yet, I am totally inexperienced in the audio DIY business (or any DIY business for that matter) and, I expect, there is a pretty steep learning curve for me to climb before I can pull off something like that (even assuming that I buy the generator already...

using foreign (50hz) turntable in US?

The turntable is Goldring GR1 and unfortunately it doesn't have that feature. And the reason I said it was overpriced is because in the UK it goes for around $185 whereas in the US it is $400 or more! Is that a rip off or what? P.S. The goldring site doesn't list any means of contacting them...

Ohhh... That's what I figured/feared. I guess I'll just have to get the overpriced US model.
