AudioEngine A5 competition
Quote: Those bamboo ones sound pretty cool, although I can't find any pictures of them... Quote: Right, I do like the subwoofer. So am I going to be losing bass if I switch to A5? Quote: I haven't heard of the Swan before, I'll have to check into those as...- alyanm

AudioEngine A5 competition
Hmm, well I already have Klipsch 2.1 Pro media speakers and thinking about Audio Engine A5 as an upgrade. Now I'm wondering if that's a waste of money -- has anybody else listened to both?- alyanm

JH Audio JH16 Pro First Impressions
Oh cool, somebody made a video, awesome! Quote: I think you probably need a refit! I used to have the same experience with my UE11s and it never got better til I sent them in for a refit. I just wore my JH16s on a flight from Sydney to Orlando -- about 8+hours of wear and my...- alyanm

JH Audio JH16 Pro First Impressions
When I first got my UE11s and then JH16s I struggled a bit with getting them in and out -- resulting in occasional soreness and inflammation. When I went in for a refit, they showed me how to rotate them in and now I have no problems getting them in and out. Lets see if I can describe it...- alyanm

I have my hands ON the Sony X1000 Walkman - Impressions / Discussions
Congrats on the new X, I've had mine for a year and a half now and still its one of my faves. I do have a silicon Tuff Luv case that I love and I also have the docking station, I always have to remove the case to get it in the docking station. Sorry, no help on the hard case. I think the best...- alyanm

I get artist name and track title, and album as well. Quote: That explains why I haven't been able to connect USB to my Windows 7 machine! I'll give that a try, thanks for the tip. Quote:- alyanm

Really? I didn't think it was feasible to make a DAP with no DAC. For some reason I thought the X had one of those Wolfson DAC's inside it but I'm not exactly an expert on this sort of thing. Quote:- alyanm

REVIEW: HiFiman HM-601
I could be wrong, I thought the 601 only read 16 bit FLAC, and the 801 could handle 24 bit. Quote:- alyanm

Pretty sure 24/96 is not supported by the 601! Quote:- alyanm

REVIEW: HiFiman HM-601
Wow, I've never even heard 6 on mine on Low Gain -- of course a JH16 takes a lot less power than a Grado. I had a similar experience when I first put my Pico Slim on the 601, I think the headphone out really has good sound especially with the right headphones. Quote:- alyanm

I've had the same issue from time to time, and yes upside down is how it goes! My solution is just to leave it on all the time! Quote:- alyanm
