    I meant .. the filters are unclear in their terms of quality. Which suits and which doesnt . They all sound same with a subtle difference.. which is hardly recognizable to ears

    I used an Audiolab Q-DAC when I used to own my HD700's, which worked really well as a DAC and headphone amp. Thankfully the HD700's are easy to drive :) Sent from my E6653 using Tapatalk ^^ Do you know at what volume you drive your headphones (ideal level) ?

    I plugged in my Sony MDR-1R headphones to my Audiolab Q-DAC, and the sound was weak. Means there were no vocals heard, only instruments. I switched to AudioTechnica R70X Reference Headphones and got something out of it. The range of sound (volume control) on the DAC is from -40db till +5db...

    True. It has. (After quite some time of understanding it, ; Even the shop-owners have no clue, ... they just nodded a yes, with a confused state-of-mind)    But I am referring to connect it to a external amplifier, so that I can then have it connected to speakers. (Analog Audio)
