    DX200=Affordable High End Audio. Dual ES9028Pro dacs. AMP1, AMP3, AMP5, AMP7 & AMP8 ***Firmware support now up for AMP9***

    Funny, when I requested an update on the shipping, I included Paul on the email chain. I didn't see a response from him or ibasso. Perhaps Paul can explain why customers ordering directly from his company's website don't get the same treatment? And who is Jack Mayi @ Sino-US? BTW, I got some...

    Not that I saw. That is what ibasso contact can be used for. How did you order yours?

    I ordered the battery on the iBasso website and supplied them with the necessary requested info.

    Thanks for that, yannis! I would, however, like to express my displeasure here with iBasso regarding the whole battery ordering process. After Paypaling them the funds, they never communicated when the battery would be shipped, even after requesting that info. Weeks latter I received a...

    DX200=Affordable High End Audio. Dual ES9028Pro dacs. AMP1, AMP3, AMP5, AMP7 & AMP8 ***Firmware support now up for AMP9***

    This sounds like what began happening to me. The DX200 starts playing a track and abruptly shuts down within 10 seconds. I kept trying this while the battery was between 80 and 50% power remaining. I even tried a factory reset but it didn't help. Is this a definitive symptom that battery is gone...

    DX200=Affordable High End Audio. Dual ES9028Pro dacs. AMP1, AMP3, AMP5, AMP7 & AMP8 ***Firmware support now up for AMP9***

    I appreciate all the sound impressions of the amp9 but I am wondering if it is capable of driving average full size cans or, say harder-to-drive ety4s.

    Using Neutralizer here to even out the response curves of various headphones. (Its not a useful tool to fix bad recordings.) No degradation detected yet in Oreo (after a system refresh). Previously in Marshmallow, having it engaged, it only very occasionally introduced some noise which was...

    Unfortunately, Tidal doesn't have any built in EQ settings. Neutralizer is a unique app in that it's super easy to set and save EQ curves for each different headphone owned. It has worked systemwide, even with Tidal. I don't always use it, but I find it indispensible. But as I said previously...

    Assuming you've already ruled out a bad SD card, which shouldn't be the case if you can still reach the card by directory, I can only suggest a factory reset which I have found to cure most problems after upgrades.

    I had the usb plugged in for charging. Restarting the DX200 wouldn't start the update until it was unplugged. That's why I suggest a minor clarification to step 17 so it reads "Unplug USB cable and swich off device." for dummies like me.

    Follow-up: I installed the 8.1 upgrade and then your patch, Lurker. I wound up having heavy audio distortion on Hi-res tracks when using the equalizer app, Neutralizer, and also with a loud hiss with the mono setting turned on. I tried performing a factory reset then had to reinstall the patch...

    I took your example and upgraded just fine. Thanks very much for the step-by-step. You may want to add "Unplug the DX200" to step 17 otherwise it won't update. The best gift to me with 8.1 is the system-wide mono option in the accessibility section. Love it.

    Just to clarify step 14 "Move to Bin" means move it to trash? Also does one need to be on stock firmware (e.g. not on Lurker's 6.1) for this update to 8.1 to work? Thanks.
