Minimum posting for FS forum
I don't think the post count is a hindrance to buying anything from the FS forums, it's easy to just send a PM. I don't have 50 posts, but since i joined Head-Fi 1-2 months ago it hasn't been a problem getting anything from the FS forums, I got a headfive a few weeks ago from someone (lovin the...- ADWulf

Tried DT770/80 but I need something better!
I would have to recommend the AT-A900 for you, if you think the DT770's were bass heavy. The AT's have alot less bass but i think i get alot more detail out of mine compared to my DT770's. A900's wont require an amp and are definetly inside your price range. I wont recommend anything else as...- ADWulf

Best Rock/Alternative/Hip-hop Headphones under $200
if u spend 100 on an amp. There's a guy on ebay that has new DT770's 80 ohm versions available for buy it now of 199.99. He accepted my offer of 140 for a set, which is to me a pretty good deal. If you were looking to spend about 240 that might be an option, eh?- ADWulf

A900's are pretty gigantic, I doubt you would be going anywhere with them on your head Of course there are people on the boards that would probably use them portably- ADWulf

Best Rock/Alternative/Hip-hop Headphones under $200
As Jaska said before, if you don't wanna amp A900 is probably the best bet. The sound quality to me is better than the DT770-80. The X-fi can push the 80 ohm DT770 pretty loud, I set it to 80% or so in windows whereas on my A900's I only set it to 50% for the same volume. Comfortwise i do...- ADWulf

Advice for gaming & music with Fatality sound card
Yeah, as everyone said before go with Beyer DT770pro-80 ohm versions or A900's, I have both. That being said the A900's are much easier to drive and to me they sound better, but for long periods of time i prefer wearing the beyers. The AT's get my ears slightly warmer which makes it...- ADWulf

Please Help a head-fi newbie choose: 7509 vs dt770 vs k240
If it works then kudos to you, but with my 80 ohm version i have to push my volume way harder than on my A900. I wouldn't think a headphone out on a laptop would be able to push it properly.- ADWulf

Please Help a head-fi newbie choose: 7509 vs dt770 vs k240
Yeah, I say the DT770's are a good choice, Got my set yesterday. After listening for a few hours I really noticed the bass, it gets overbearing on bass heavy songs but otherwise its pretty nice.- ADWulf

Cans to be worn for 7 hrs daily
Yeah, I just got my set of DT770-80's in, and comfort wise i prefer them over my A900's. Soundwise i still prefer the AT's but I haven't been able to really listen to the beyer's. I have noticed the bass though- ADWulf

Thinking about the HD-595's or the HD-580's?
I haven't had a problem purchasing through amazon before. Only thing i ever bought was some books for school though I would assume they are pretty safe to purchase through.- ADWulf
