After you stretch them out for a week, the band will still regain its former SHAPE. But the Tension on the band should decrease considerably, and it should be easier to stretch (stretch wider faster).

I am asking for an unamped comparision though... I know that the HD25-1 does not benefit from an amp (plugged it into a HeadRoom micro and sounded the same)... does the D2000 actually benefit from an amp??
