    Dubstep Headphones

TMA-1 is fairly overrated. If it had a beats logo on it, it would be banned from Head-fi. Overly warm sound, rolled off highs, punchy bass but no depth. Find something with better bass depth to truly enjoy dubstep with headphones.    If you are at all open to IEM....Monster miles davis has...

Sony mdr xb-700 or Beats By Dre Pro

Beats pro sound great depending on price you pay. Dont let people recommend Xb700 if they havent personally tried the pros. Even critics admit the Pros sound good, with a bass emphasis. If you can get them for $300 or a little less its a no brainer. The sony's cannot compare.

How many apartment dwellers here using headphones instead of speakers out of necessity?

Agree with the above. I listen at moderate levels. Certainly loud if standing in front of the speakers but overall not rocking the house loud. Its without a doubt going to be a problem to enjoy your music fully unless you have some really understanding neighbors. Its actually the neighbors above...

How many apartment dwellers here using headphones instead of speakers out of necessity?

Sounds like me. I had AudioEngine a5s running with the audioengine d1 dac and I was in heaven with the sound. Unfortunately those powered speakers throw out some serious sound and I continuously got noise complaints from my neighbors on both sides. Since selling off that set up I am now going...

"First Look" at the NEW revised 2012 Beats by Dr Dre Beats Studio headphones unboxing video & impressions to come.

Quote: I own head-fi approved headphones like Grado 325i, K550, and miles davis tribute, I also own beats pro. I find myself constantly putting the beats pro on because I ENJOY the music, I find myself listening to the headphones rather than the music with some of my other sets. I...

    AIAIAI TMA-1 Beatport Edition

Comparing these to the Beats Pro, Im leaning towards the beats pro. I picked them up on the monster refurb store for $175 so cost is about the same. I was looking for a bass heavy high energy set of cans to enjoy some eletronic and hip hop music. The Beats Pro arent perfect but seemingly less...

    DEAL OF THE CENTURY!!!!!!!!!

No. Was completely underwhelmed at $300 retail. I'm at a minimum going to let the new pair burn in fully. At under $100 I have no problem using them for acoustic and live music recordings. At retail I just didn't see them fitting into my rotation enough to justify. The k550 is EASILY the most...

beats mixr vs audio technica m-50s?????

+1 on previous review. Just go have a listen. It will most likely shock you. I haven't used my MTPC or SR225i since I picked them up. The Mixr are legitimate contenders with good looks and build quality.
