Final Audio Design Impressions and Discussion Thread
I recently picked up a set of the Final Audio Design Adagio III and here are my thoughts. These have a very V shaped sound to me. I've been using a set of Comply TSX-200 tips. I've been listening to some DSD files on my Ibasso DX90 and Fiio X5 with a Fiio E12 amp. The lows can hit very...- acidtripwow

Astrotec AX60 | Thoughts, Reviews, and Tour Impressions
After listening to these for some time now I think they are pretty neutral sounding. They could use a bit more resolution up top. They sound better with softer music like pop or jazz. They are not meant for heavy rock. For that type of music I prefer the Ludacris SL99. Those can really rock...- acidtripwow

Light Harmonic GEEK
Thanks, I will check it out a little more. I am only testing JRiver software for now. I did spend about 1.5 hours configuring and trouble shooting Foobar 2000 and I got it to work with the 720. The DSD lights up now. Now I need to figure out how to install more skins...- acidtripwow

So I have a Sony VAIO laptop and am using JRiver software. Should this be able to play DSD files out to the 720 which I have. So far it only shows 44.1k on the 720 while playing DSD files.- acidtripwow

iBasso DX90 Bug Thread - Post Any Firmware Bugs/Issues Here
Now I'm having a problem with my DX90. I just copied a couple of albums over and now I get a screechy high pitched tone and no music. I did the following but it didn't help. 1. Took out the card to see if the noise would go away but it didn't. 2. Did a factory reset and that didn't...- acidtripwow

Astrotec AX60 | Thoughts, Reviews, and Tour Impressions
I picked up a set of these and they sound excellent to me. They have more resolution than any other IEM I have. The bass can be a touch too much at times but I can deal with it. I hate the fit though with the over the ear rubber inserts not really working that well. The cable keeps falling out...- acidtripwow

Fiio X5 - Custom/Modded firmwares
Who reads the user manual? LOL. I purchased the X5 because I wanted to listen to some DSD albums. The only one I have so far is Jimmy D. Lane with Double Trouble which sounds pretty good to me. I wanted to try Frampton Comes Alive but that was $50! So I got it from Amazon for $9.- acidtripwow

THE best female vocals? (your favorite female singers)
I think Eva Cassidy had the best voice I ever heard. I just downloaded an Adele album about 2 weeks ago and that is awesome too. Whoever recorded the album did an amazing job.- acidtripwow

Fiio X5 - Custom/Modded firmwares
Yes, am I not suppose to do that? Also, I noticed some static before some songs. Maybe for half a second. I notice this on a DSD album.- acidtripwow

Fiio X5 - Custom/Modded firmwares
I have an X5 now and it has some weird stuff that happens from time to time. Sometimes when I hit the volume down button it will go back to the first song on the album. I can't go forward or back a song unless the screen is lit. Is this normal for this player? I think I have v2 of the firmware.- acidtripwow

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
It's funny that you mention chairs. I work for a manufacturer of bus seats and instead of buying office chairs for employees they take a bus seat and attach a stand. It's very uncomfortable that's why I ordered my own office chair with my own money. It's a lot more comfortable than a bus seat.:D...- acidtripwow
