Behringer uca202 as digital link to DAC?
The TBAAM is NOT bit perfect and re-samples everything to 48 khz. Happy Listening! Quote: Originally Posted by globalghost Would you happen to know if the Turtle Beach Audio Advantage Micro USB gives bit perfect playback as well? The Zero is on my radar as well, but I don't want...- abs@nilenet.com

The Stax thread (New)
FYI, that CD player looks like a D-777 and is definitely not a D-EJ01. Happy Listening! Quote: Originally Posted by krmathis Yeah, Kevin's once had a really nice "portable" rig. Kevin Gilmore's Omega II rig from some years back. * Sony d-ej01 * Stax SRM-212 * Stax...- abs@nilenet.com

Behringer uca202 as digital link to DAC?
If your laptop is not a Mac Book then yes you would be better served by the UCA as most if not all PC notebook digital outputs are not bit perfect. Swimman waterproof IEMs?
The Swim Man IEMSs are not bad but are nothing special sound-wise--especially when you take into account their $99.00 price. However, they do let you take your music with you while snorkeling, swimming, riding a jetski, etc. They connect to your waterproof source with a regular 1/8" mini plug...- abs@nilenet.com

Zhaolu 2.0 - mute button flashing, no sound
That means that your Zhaolu is not receiving a signal from your source. If possible try another source such as a CD player or computer, etc and see if your dac is able to lock onto a signal. The Stax thread (New)
Unfortunately, those parts are not available. You can buy a replacement headband for the current generation of Lambdas , however, and it will work. If you are in the USA, you can purchase it from Yamas Enterprises at www.yamasinc.com . Happy Listening!- abs@nilenet.com

Behringer uca202 as digital link to DAC?
Yes. In my experience, the UCA-202 does provide a bit perfect output from it's toslink jack. You can't beat it for the price! Darkvoice 337 - A Review
That statement makes me wonder what the context was of the conversation. IMHO, the 6528 is one of the better sounding output tubes that you can use with an Extreme that has been modified to accept them-especially for low impedance cans. Why can't you have battery powered electrostatic amps?
If he does indeed include a DAC with his portable 'stat amp, please put an optical input on it. USB is all nice and well but is useless to people that don't carry a laptop with their portable rig. L3000 - Way Overrated?
I would agree that the L3k is a great rock/metal can. I can't say for sure if it is 'the' rock can since I have not heard the PS-1 or the Ed. 9 out of those mentioned previously. My main source is an Adcom GDA-700 dac with a Zapfilter 2 analog stage and the amp is a Single Power Extreme...- abs@nilenet.com

ES-1 Tube Rolling.
The 12AX7 is a small bulb 9 pin tube and will not fit in the larger 8 pin octal socket so they do require an ECC-1 or equivalent adapter. As to the 6BL7GTA and 6SN7, you can find all of the differences on the NJ7P website: 6BL7GTA 6SN7 In the ES-1 either can go in any of the front 4...- abs@nilenet.com

Wooden portable ATH-ESW9 arrived! (with pics)
AFAIK, these are only sold in Japan, although I have heard that the new Audiocubes store in NYC might sell them. Otherwise you need to purchase them from audiocubes.com or bluetin.com or another importer. Quote: Originally Posted by Manny Calavera What are the average selling price...- abs@nilenet.com
