@amanieux I haven't heard any GSM noise from it yet, but I also don't stream music from the Internet much. I wanted to fix this potential problem by wrapping it in some Faraday mesh (metal mesh) to have it look better than foil and still have the glass window look but my Ali delivery with the...

Introducing the Questyle M15 & the brand new Questyle Shop!

Yeah, it seems to love planars - my HE-400i has never had such sub-bass punch out of any source, even multi-Watt claiming ones like the iFi Micro iDSD.

@n00kie Late to the party, but I would say you shouldn't assume that works correctly if the next amp you're plugging into isn't fully balanced. I plugged the BAL output of my KA17, without thinking too much, into the RCA-ins of the energizer of my ESP/95X electrostatics, and the stage became...

FIIO’s innovative sub brand, SNOWSKY Bluetooth DAC and Headphone Amplifier RETRO NANO comes out!!

I mean sure, dimmer is at minimum and timeout is at minimum. Honestly, considering the importance of the tape reel images for the retro vibe intended for this product, the even better solution could have been to use an e-paper/e-ink retroreflective display that uses ambient light...

FIIO’s innovative sub brand, SNOWSKY Bluetooth DAC and Headphone Amplifier RETRO NANO comes out!!

@FiiO-Yellow Hello! Do you know if it will be possible to have more battery saving options in future firmware versions, like not turning on the screen for volume control actions or track change actions? Basically for anything done with the + and - buttons, if the screen is off it should stay...

FIIO 2025 New Product Schedule-From FIIO James

Wait, how is the QX11 FIIO's first dongle if it launches much later than the QX13?

[FiiO BTR15/BTR5 2021/BTR5]Bluetooth DAC and Headphone Amplifier Discussion & Impressions Thread

Nope. No BTRs that I know of are able to pass the audio they receive through BT out through their USB, they only convert to analog and output through jack connectors. The USB is only there for power and data input, never output.

FIIO’s innovative sub brand, SNOWSKY Bluetooth DAC and Headphone Amplifier RETRO NANO comes out!!

Probably the same as every other CS43131 DAC, as those are implemented in the DAC chip itself. The real question is if there are plans to expose them in FiiO Control so we can select the one we want (I'm not seeing this option in any video review so far), or at least to specify which one comes...

BTW, wrt. current generation ability I'm finding this on Amazon: As these things are usually specified for rechargeables, it's all referenced to the battery's rated capacity C, so in this case the PKCell rep is telling us the battery is able to put out 3C = 3*350 = 1050 mA for short bursts, and...

@inscythe Of course it would all be a kitchen top test procedure, but I'd estimate a high probability that the SE-out will not be the one pushing against the battery's limits - so it will likely produce the loudness it should for 100 mW -, while the BAL-out might, if there's any current drive...

@inscythe Oh, cool then, that would give everyone more hope of being able to find adequate spare batteries easily. When you think about it, the old heat-intolerant and fussy Cobalt chemistry was preferred precisely for its high energy density, so one would assume when looking at a battery with...

@inscythe Have you been able to tell if the Nano really puts out close to 220 mW into 32 ohms via BAL-out when powered by those PKCells? I notice they're ICR chemistry, meaning traditional Cobalt-based Li-Ion, meaning they shouldn't do high discharge currents that well. The stock cell is said to...

Such a great idea to finally have a bluetooth receiver with a replaceable battery. Too bad it's so small and low capacity, maybe a v2 of the device can use a 14500 cell, which is easier to find as well.
