Shure SE846: A New In-Ear Flagship From Shure. Finally! (Impressions p26-28)

Most people in higher eduminaction institutions use student loans to pay for tuition, room and board....discretionary spending   So in effect they are like wimpy "I would gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today"

    Headphonelounge Cables - Appreciation Thread

Just received a 3' silver cable from Ted. Great person to deal with. Well made, noticed an improvement right away. Would definitely recommend Ted to anyone looking for upgraded cables

    The Astell & Kern AK120

Actually technology is not really moving at all, what we are seeing is slightly different configurations on the existing.   So far...vinyl, reel to reel, laserdisks, 8track, cassettes, CDs, a few SACDs, and digital, have been a part of my music experience.   These required purchasing a...

    The Astell & Kern AK120

As we all have experience in the audio industry via upgrades and new products, we have a choice to make.    Do we research and buy in at a certain point, or do we wait until the last best product is made?   I can guarantee if the new Calyx unit is a success there will be an upgrade to it. ...

    The Astell & Kern AK120

I am looking at purchasing the AK120. Saw this in a recent post and started to wonder. There does seem to be a few who use an external amp, and now with the Red Wine mod.... Does the amp in the AK120 underwhelm? For the people who own, or who have owned this unit, does it require an amp to...

Shure SE846: A New In-Ear Flagship From Shure. Finally! (Impressions p26-28)

Quote: So you were disappointed, then you found them marginally better, then you were disappointed, then you found them awesome, then you reconsidered the disappointment with the bass, then there is some wow factor, so it wasn't a deal breaker, and you may look at them again.   Wow...

How do I setup a turntable to work with headphones properly?

You should check around for a pre-amp with head phone out. One that comes to mind is Sonic Frontiers

    Nano generation 6 pinout

I have a ipod dock to RCA cable that I used on an ipod classic 5.   Has the pinout changed?   If so, does anyone know the pins I need to connect to get audio out. I am trying to use a nano generation 6.   Thanks for your time and trouble
