Your mileage may vary, but I traded up my HE6SE v2 purchased from Adorama to get a HE1000 stealth. All they asked is a copy of the original receipt.

The headphone itself seems to be brand new to me. In my case, it sounds pretty bright at beginning and it took like 50+ hour burn-in to get the mellow sound. That's how I judge the magnet is brand new. My pair also came with the shiny veneer like the old HE1000 v2, but it has the stealth magnets :)

I received a refurbished HE1000 stealth through their upgrade program a couple month ago. It also came with the clear tube cables. In my case. I only received the 1/4 and 1/8 single ended cables. They sent me the black balanced cable later on. I think the clear tube cable sounds slightly better...
