Creative Sound Blaster Omni Surround 5.1 External Sound Card
Got one to replace a Realtek ALC888B onboard, which was no longer cutting it. Not an audiophile, I don't own any headphones costing more than 50 dollars on sale, siberias, sennheisers, creatives etc, but the clarity and ease of use is noticeably better than the on board sound, and the...- 0roo0roo

Reply to review by '0roo0roo' on item 'Apple EarPods with Remote and Mic'
They are surprisingly good for stock headphones, was skeptical but for situations where isolation is not necessary, they produce good bass and treble and at least for my ears, there is no pressure. its strange to not have silicon plugs, but they are more stable than I would have expected, and...- 0roo0roo

Sennheiser CX 475
Nice review, but the thing is all those cx type headphones aren't really iems, they fit on the outer part of the ear more like a regular bud, with the silicon wedged for the seal. Thats why they are made so shallow, you aren't supposed to jam them in deep. Generally you should use a larger...- 0roo0roo

Not much on cx200 and cx300 mk II so i'll chime in
they are certainly talking of the first version. the first version sold bundles esp when discounted heavily near the end so the vast majority of talk was about that model. not many have the mkII's yet. and yes reviews are scarce. hm just noticed that "Innovative holding system...- 0roo0roo

Can sweat fry your IEMs?
more likely is constant movement from working out led to stress failure of connections.- 0roo0roo

Not much on cx200 and cx300 mk II so i'll chime in
yea its hard to describe this stuff:P shame we don't have objective tests more for audio equipment. impressions depend on context and comparison i guess. the cx200's flaws were mostly noticeable when i did quick switching between the two headphones. its not horrible. but the difference in...- 0roo0roo

Comparing the two the cx200 certainly has more bass, but its of the thuddy mud type. the cx300 mk II does seem to be an improved cx300, voice clarity is very good now, so listening to music on it is pretty nice. the cx300 original model is somewhere between the two. build quality is good as...- 0roo0roo

Life span of custom IEMs?
yea every damned headphone i've broken seems to have been done in at the cord/socket areas, the soldered or whatever connections at those areas gets damaged with movement/use over time it seems.- 0roo0roo
