Why would you get any IEM but Etymotics?

1. Ergonomics. Their shell design isn't exactly the most ergonomic unless you're just sitting down or gently walking.

2. Response. They're as flat as you can get for the money and even above their price point, but in some cases, likely due to the high noise environment they'd be used in that even the flat response down past 30hz and isolation aren't enough next to having a bass plateau to bring out the beat more (like in this one, or this one) or have barely audible bass drums in other genres (like in this one, or in this one).

My friends keeps preaching Etys and says 6BA IEM sucks without telling me anything.

Multiple driver designs will require a complex crossover design to manage the distribution of freqs with managed overlaps. More parts means it costs more but you have more components that can fail and render the entire system useless.
