If I want to insert text in the middle, it writes over instead of inserting between.

Something must be enabling overtype mode. Is this behaviour isolated to the editor on Head-Fi? Does it occur with any other text field in your browser? Does it occur with any textual input on your system outside of the browser? What browser are you using? Have you checked the keyboard settings for your operating system?

Sorry for late answer.

I have no idea what caused this. Other editors in Window worked normally, no insert mode there. After reboot issue was solved and haven't had it since.
