I'm saying you are paying for double the parts for a headphone that doesn't need an amp that will deliver that much power. Hence the comparo between a lightweight Lotus Evora with only RWD being just as good as a piggy Lambo AWD, unless you drive them on wet roads where the AWD system is safer.

You keep failing to understand what I'm saying. When I (and others) say it isn't all about power we mean more than just power in quantity, we mean less distortion, less noise, better channel separation, etc. The second bit is that a balanced circuit on its own has no bearing on that either. Yes, you don't need more power. No, balanced isn't going to guarantee that at the low output level you need, you'd actually be running with a lot less distortion and noise, or even markedly better channel separation.
