Can anyone recommend a USB powered cooling fan for a laptop that is quiet so that I can listen with open headphones without hearing too much noise?

I would prefer a fan to a cooling pad because it's a big 17" laptop that already sits pretty high on the table. Thanks!

I use this one on my fanless 11.6in Ultrabook (ambient temps are higher here without A/C). I can't hear it even with the room fan or A/C are off and even at noon with no A/C the Core m5 CPU doesn't throttle.

Since you need something bigger try this one - looks like it uses an even larger fan. At the same airflow leve this might likely even be a bit quieter.
