Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about using a phone to record video and audio and how to rig up an external mic, via USB or Jack.
Im aware this can probably be done to record audio on a phone but what I want to do is have it use the microphone when the phone (probably android) records video.

Also im wondering if any phones can do higher than the 256kbps bitrate of the Samsung Note 4 and Nokia Lumia 930
Uncompressed would be nice!  any apps that can do that ?

Thanks for any help :)

hey
yes that's right. We'll I did some research and I found out that the Zoom products I've tested the Zoom H4N pro and plugged into into the Htc one M8 phone and was able to record video with great audio quality using the Zooms microphones
basically ..
Android sees the zoom as a USB OTG soundcard/device and its all good from there.

I used an app called open camera for recording and had no issues with the audio/video sync !
