I'm considering to add my first planar magnetic headphones to my ones: HD 600, Fidelio X2 and AKG K702.
Considering my budget I wonder if it's worth it (400 usd)
I excluded HifiMan HE 400S because too close to the quality of my ones.. Someone told me nice things bout Monoprice Monolith 1060 and HifiMan 400i.
I'm a bit lost. any help is welcome

I have not heard the Monoprice so can't say. Yes the HE-400S is a bit like the HD-650 and fell the HE-400i is more towards the HD-600's they are still very different. If you have the power to run them the HE-400's can with simple mods be very fun also.

Have not heard the M1060, so can't say. It is getting very good reviews. You might surf the 1060 thread and see if you can gather the information you would need to make a decision. Other than that, with your budget, the 400i is a very good option.
