Quick advice for all owners: Do the tip rolling! It helps a lot with the sound!

Well consider me intrigued. I have been waiting for a detachable fiio earphone for quite some time and now that i cannot use my dunu titan 5 i am very interested to how these sound.

Just finished my review and I will agree that the F5 is indeed a fantastic earphone!

I have the Shozy Zero, Meze 11 Neo and EX1 2nd Gen, all sensational earphones around that same $60-80 asking price. But while they are all very impressive earphones on their own and even in comparison to each other, the F5 is much more refined. It doesn't have the wow-factor of the more dynamic EX1 and Zero but it isn't as laid back as the 11 Neo either. Instead, the F5 is smooth, spacious and tastefully warm.

Also everyone is putting emphasis on tip-rolling, but make sure you guys also experiment with cables. I found the balanced cable to sound better irrespective of whether the earphones were running from a balanced or unbalanced source (using an adaptor). Again, it doesn't make the biggest difference in the grand scheme of things, but I did appreciate the earphones more. I'll be looking forward to seeing more impressions of this gem and interested to see their final RRP. While they slaughter cheaper earphones and handily best similarly priced ones, $80 is still dangerously close to the highly competitive $100-110 price range and I'm not sure the F5 fares so well compared to earphones like the EN700 Bass, K3 Pro and even Oriveti Basic for example.

It is a no tangle type cable.
Does not have the microphonics issue of the FiiO balanced cable that they sell separately (silver/white looking thing).

I would rate the cable quite high as well, the balanced cable feels sturdy and is free of any problems!
