So I probably will get flamed for saying this but I recently upgraded to a lynx hilo and purchased an onkyo dp x1 last week for the balanced out and tidal app functions. I wanted to take advantage of the balanced sound processing and bought the beyerdynamic balanced headphone cable which terminates in 4 pin xlr and then purchased the https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XKM235F/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 from amazon (I have t5p's). I spent $200 (145/45). My belief was the upgrade to balanced was more important than the cable used in terms of sound quality. I also bought a 4pin xlr to 3 pin dual xlr for the headphones and was going to buy a 2.5mm balanced to dual 3 pin xlr for the lynx hilo. Ok let me know if I just wasted 200 or not. All input appreciated.
