I am looking for a good headset for my new gaming setup. I play mostly competitive fps games so it needs good soundstage. Other than that I'm looking for the basics...DURABILITY and COMFORT! I have got about 150-200 dollars to spend at most my new setup was pretty expensive. Thanks for all advice

I think the general consensus around here is that you would be better of with a pair of quality headphones than a headset with crappy drivers. Although i have heard the Hyper cloud x 2 are not bad for the price.

If you're strictly looking for a gaming headset, the HyperX Cloud II are good. If you have the option to do so, I'd suggest you purchase the Sennheiser 598 HD + Antlion Modmic 5 combo.

I agree with @FunkDrummer--the HD598 Ivory or HD598SR tick off most of your boxes. Great soundstage and supremely comfortable. A very nice headphone. Mine are three years old and still in pristine condition despite near-constant use. Worth checking out.

Hyper X Cloud 2 or HD598 + Modmic. This is basically the choice to make; there is a reason 3 people now have suggested it. The 598 is better for music and gaming than the Hyper X, but its also more expensive and has no mic. Good luck!

The HD558 is an acceptable substitute for the HD598, and is easier on the wallet. +1 on the headphone/modmic option though.
