New Head-Fier
Pros: Comfort folding for portability
Cons: sound leakage at higher volumes
I came across these at HH Gregg, the big box store. They were priced at $50 but were greatly praised by one of the salesman there. So I did what I always do when I'm shopping type in the model number into Google ( thank God for smartphones) and reviews were good. They were a new series by JVC so there weren't a whole lot of reviews yet. These were best JVC cans they had in this series there were a cheaper version there that looked exactly the same. The saleman told me he used these drumming at his church and he loved them. Luckily they were hanging in the wrong spot and had a duplicate barcode as the cheaper model so i got them for $30. Being the cheapskate I am I jumped on it and took his word for it plus the few reviews that were online at the time. I tried them out and the first thing I noticed how comfortable they were. Not used to this with over the ear headphones. They advertised memory foam and you can tell the difference. They were muggy sounding at first and bass heavy but sounded really good. Once I got them to my laptop and played around and the more I used them the warmer the sound got. Using the EQ help raise the treble and lower the bass a bit and I'm real impressed with them. Other than the sound leakage at higher volumes they've become my go to headphones. They fold flat easily and are great for throwing in your bag on the go. Sound great on movies too. I've always been impressed by JVC's quality for their price. They give you a lot of good sound for the price without having to dish a lot of money. For the price, they're great. If you want comfort and portability I'd check these out. They have good sound and good bass for those that like that. Using the  EQ will come in handy to make the sound you want. I'd recommend them and I'd buy them again. Thanks for your time folks. God bless.

I just got these on an impulse when I was waiting for my SZ2000.  The bass is amazing.  After two days in the sock drawer burning in they are sharp, precise, and deep.  They were at winners for 35 dollars.  Not as muddy as the xb500.  With amping they slap you in the face.
