Watches - another passion of ours, it seems...post your pics!
I'm using this at the moment, not in a gold finish but silver. Well not actually made of silver but you get the idea. I also have an Omega pocketwatch that i inherited from my grandfather, i use that only for very formal occasions. Am currently saving up for a Longines, but man those things cost...- Akselpaksel

Anyone Try AKG K-420 ? Please give me some idea
I've tried the 430, 450 and 518 different AKG head-phones, each one was too small for my head but i did listen a little to each. I preferred the sound on the 450 to the 430 and the 518. Not to say that they weren't all good, but if you have the money go for the 450, it has a detachable cable as...- Akselpaksel

The first CD transport from Little Dot will be releasing soon
I e-mailed david earlier today and he told me this: We are hoping to release it within a month or two and the price is $299 USD plus shipping. If you are not in need of a CD Transport but are looking for a DAC unit, our Little Dot DAC will follow the CDP 1 within a couple of months as well...- Akselpaksel

Tinnitus - High pitched ringing in ears driving me nuts
Like an earlier poster said, just turn down the volume gradually. Your ears will adjust naturally and it'll feel as if it was just as loud as before. A few other tips: 1. While in a quiet room, find a good volume mark. Use it as reference for all other times. So try not to deviate from it...- Akselpaksel

Creative ZEN Vision M 99.99
It's a great deal, too bad it's only 30 gig. I've had one for 2-3 years but recently i dropped it on the floor by accident and now the headphone-out is broken. But when it did work, i have to say it really sounded great. Bass is much better than on the ipods i've tried.- Akselpaksel

Need an amp -- Playstation 1 >> ? >> AKG k701
I'm gonna dig up mine later today. Is the small PS1 just as good? Sorry to derail the thread with this. On-topic: What i found best when looking for advice here was to PM someone who owns an amp you're looking at, preferably someone who also has the same headset you have of course. But...- Akselpaksel

Cheap amp for AKG 240 DF.
Isn't the I+ a little to weak to drive the 240df? I thought that had a 600 ohm impedance or something. I'd ask in the dedicated thread before buying.- Akselpaksel

New AKG K601 Owner.
I'm using the 601 with the I+. Very happy with the combo. When it comes to burn-in, you've got a long road ahead of you. 300 hours is generally reccomended.- Akselpaksel

Alleviate Symptoms of Tinnitus
One thing i'll heartily recommend, even for those here that rarely go to concerts. Get some musicians earplugs, i've found that they are really worth it. Cost me 35 bucks here in Norway, but if you're in the US it'd be less probably. It's made concerts more enjoyable and if I know that I'm going...- Akselpaksel

Have you burned them in? I don't know about the op-amp but burning in doesn't cost you anything so just wait a while and burn in. See what happens.- Akselpaksel

AKG K240 MKII, K601, or something else?
I have a K601, it sounds allright out of my old sony amp but i wouldn't use it with my TV. Not without an amp at least. So out of the two you've listed i'd go with the 240. But...I haven't heard it, i just know that the 601 probably isn't right for you.- Akselpaksel

Alleviate Symptoms of Tinnitus
This helped a little, but the one thing that really helped me was thinking about it not as a curse but something i have to live with, which might not sound much different.
