6G faceplate on a 5.5G?
I have a few questions regarding the 6G faceplate -> 5/5.5G iPod mod I have a CF moddet and rockboxed 30GB 5.5G iPod i want to keep going. The faceplate is pretty roughed up and i was looking around to replace it when i came a cross a 6G faceplate -> 5/5.5G iPod mod. If i got it right...- nano

What is good about rockbox?
I don't get why you have to bash Rockbox? If you don't like it don't use it. You clearly have made up your mind about it anyways so i don't see what you are trying to gain by this...- nano

5.5G CFmod problem...
Ok i made the CF mod with the Tarkan adapter and 32GB Kingston Elite Pro. And it works fine, BUT when i transfer files, at some point it is like it looses cennection to the CF card. The iPod still shows in "My Computer" but its totaly empty and dosent respond. What the fudge?! Any ideas?- nano

Got it open, with one of the plastic tools (woohoo)! Changed the battery, no problems. But batterylife hasent increased- nano

I still love my Rockboxed 5.5G, may not be the best sounding DAP, but it looks good, sounds ok, and with Rockbox its simple and easy to use.- nano
