Never been scammed on Head-Fi. Bought an amp that failed shortly after delivery, but I doubt that could have been anticipated. Buying used gear is always something of a gamble.

I liked the K701s well enough to put my other headphones in storage, but I'm not sure I qualify as a fan. I use them daily, but I don't give them much thought. The AKGs don't intrude and don't distract. They just let me listen to the music, which I suppose is the idea.
