    I understand that you can edit your own .cfg files; however, I want the rockboxed player to load up my specific edited .cfg file when I turn on my rockbox so I don't have to fiddle with the equalizer settings every time I turn my clip+ on.

    I've got the HD414 pads for my Grado.

    So, do I just "rip" off the pads on the Grado and replace them with no glue? Or does the pressure of the pad itself keep in on the earcup?

    Sounds like the only way to fix this problem, as stated before, is to solder the connection back into place. If you want it fixed for free, you're going to have to crack it open. Although, I'm sure there's someone who can fix it for you out there for a fee.
