    Denon AH-D9200 - 2018 Flagship - Impressions Thread

I had the 9200 and the mids on some songs were way too much for me, almost to the point that they sounded bloated and distorted (to my ears anyway) no matter the source. I was lucky enough that I managed to swap them for a pair of MK2 and I couldn't be happier. I do like a V shape sound anyway...

    Denon AH-D9200 - 2018 Flagship - Impressions Thread

I have mine up for sale. I find the mids too forward for my taste. Can sound "muddy" in some songs, IMO. I only have a few hours on them, but the TH-600 and the AT WP900 that I currently own sounded good to me from the first listen.

I have purchased these headphones from Minidisc just over a month ago. After the initial enthusiasm of having a flagship pair of headphones I started to go back to my Fostex TH-600 and, for some reason, I still prefer that sound signature. Since I can't return them (passed the 21 days policy)...

The cable also looks great, which one are you using?

Correct. Here in Australia they went up $300, but I've managed to order my pair just in time

Sennheiser IE900 Review, Measurements, & Harman Target Talk

Hello everyone. I've added the IE900 to my collection yesterday and like many of you I've struggled to achieve a good seal. The silicon tips provided are way too thin for such a shallow earphone. Luckily I've kept a stack of ear tips from my discarded earphones durin the year and I had some fun...

    SONY NW-ZX500

Thank you all for the feedback about battery life. As I don't think I will get much use out of the online capabilities of the 500 I think I will go for the WM1A and enjoy a better battery life. Cheers.

    SONY NW-ZX500

Thank you for that. I'd be interested to know how many hours users have actually managed to get out of the player.

    SONY NW-ZX500

Could anybody please share their experience with battery life with this player? I don't think I'm going to use the online functionality (not sure yet) so I was considering the NW-WM1A as an alternative and also for its long battery life. I normally use a pair of IER-Z1R earphones. Thank you.

    SONY IER-Z1R

Well, mine arrived yesterday and...WOW...I'm glad I returned the Atlas! The Sony are brighter (to my ears) and they remind me of the sound of full size cans rather than just in ear. They are indeed massive and fitting is a bit challenging. At the moment I find the comfort foam tips to be the...

    SONY IER-Z1R

I did have a listen today and I was very impressed! I was able to return the Atlas so I'm double happy! I found clearer trebles that I expected (probably even more than the Atlas); listening to Private Investigation by Dire Straits they reminded me of my Fostex TH-600 (to my ears anyway) which I...

Thanks mate. I need to audition them first, but feel free to pm me the details. Cheers

    SONY IER-Z1R

I'm a bit of a V shape sound fan so a bit of recessed mid doesn't worry me. I have tried the Solaris and found them a bit too "polite" for my taste.

    SONY IER-Z1R

They seem pretty big but at least they are over the ear and the weight distribution should be different. Hopefully my local store has a pair to audition. I'll try tomorrow. Thanks again!

    SONY IER-Z1R

Forgive my ignorance...does this means you think the Sony are better? I have the Atlas but no matter the tips I use I can't get a good seal in my left ear and due to the weight it keeps falling out. Since there's a sale for the Sony here in Australia I was thinking of selling the Atlas

Hello everyone. Without having to read through hundreds of pages could anyone please let me know if they did a comparison with the Campfire Audio Atlas? Thank you.

I have the Campfire Dorado and I think the sound is comparable. I actually have them for sale to finance an upgrade

Reply to review by 'gerbi' on item 'Onkyo DP-S1 Rubato'

Rubato means "stolen" in Italian so it's a silly name for a DAP

Bummer! I mainly watch movies and videos so I might not use it as DAC then.

    Sony NW-ZX300

Thank you, it worked! Amazing that you need uninstall something Sony says you need to make it work...The only issue now is that when watching videos (with any software) I have a huge audio delay:-( Did you manage to fix that too? Thanks again.

    Sony NW-ZX300

First of all apologies if this has been covered previously. I have purchased a new zx-300 and I have tried to use it as a DAC but my Windows 10 laptop refuses to output audio to it. I have downloaded the Sony drivers, but when I plug it in there's a red cross on the audio icon in the taskbar...
