How does one go about making a barrel style Y-split like the one below? Is it done with just heat shrink? Sort of found my answer: http://www.head-fi.org/t/676402/diy-cable-questions-and-comments-thread/4215#post_11917801- junkimchi

I have decided to dish out and go for via blue splitters on my hd600/650 cable but I was wondering which of the following would work and is the smallest option? ViaBlue SC-2 http://www.viablue.de/com/splitter_sc2.shtml ViaBlue NF-S1 http://www.viablue.de/com/splitter_nfs1.shtml ...- junkimchi

DIY Cable Questions and Comments Thread
I plan to make multiple cables lol As of right now I'm the most confused about what to do with the Y-splitter area. The rest seems pretty straight forward. I plan to take the rubbershielding off before putting paracord around it, as it seems from my research this is either necessary or...- junkimchi

I apologize for my laziness in advance because that is essentially what this post is the result of, but I figured you guys here would have the best answer to my scenario. I really want to try out a higher end set of Grados but I don't know which one is right for me! I currently own an HD600...- junkimchi

Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread
I think it boils down to the fact that improvements in sound obviously aren't objective. If you mod your car or get a faster car, there are going to be times to prove that. Here in our audiophile community, you come to this site and yell at each other instead.- junkimchi

Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread
After listening to the HD600 for a night, it has changed my perspective on the whole hi-fi / audiophile industry. It mainly stems from my firm belief that the HD600's sound almost in every way better (for me) than the HD650's. At very best I would just call them different headphones, both with...- junkimchi

OC please. Its central to all of SoCal, doesn't require driving into the inner city, and parking situations should be much better. Also much closer for the San Diego folks.- junkimchi

Maverick Audio DAC/Amp
Also had a similar problem where the left channel on my D1 died. Reseated the OPAMP and it was fixed, but then later the headphone out was shot (it was terrible as a standalone amp anyways). But yeah I agree that its a very shabby unit that I wouldn't recommend to others.- junkimchi
