a nod to someone who has served us well

If anyone from Sennheiser is reading this... I can't imagine there'd be any more deserving case for someone to receive a pair of HD800's - can you?

New Millett Hybrid MiniMAX (what happened to this thread?)

I notice on the beezar website that only the black enclosure is listed Is this the end of the silver version or is there going to be another batch ordered?

a nod to someone who has served us well

I'm not entirely sure about buying Eagle, this is a bit like me buying my wife flowers... and a washing machine... As I understood it, the original intent was to show our gratitude and thank Alex for all his efforts but here we are discussing which headphone will allow him to design amps...

The headphone stand is a nice idea, perhaps a plaque could be added to commemorate the whole thing, not names per se but the community

Sorry, it's taken me while to get round to this. Have now sent a small contribution to the fund. Very happy to see Alex rewarded for his generosity and infinite patience UB

    OPA2132PA in the uk?

Farnell and RS Components both sell the OPA2132PA as well as a good selection of other models and makes of OPAMP. Farnell have a minimum order of £20+vat for non-account customers but it's worthwhile seeing if you can make an order of £30+vat because then it's free delivery. RS have no...

Ferrari Thank you for your very kind offer. I do like the amp very much and a building a new one is a definite possibility. But I'm not going to give up on this one just yet. Besides if I do find the fault and fix it, it may give some clues as to the hiss problems reported by some IEM users.

Nice, they are a smart looking case. Is that case tall enough to enclose the valves or will you have to cut holes in the top do you think? Do they come with all any accessories - like feet? How was modushop to deal with?

How Hard Would A DIY Sennheiser Cable Be?

I think the hardest part would be the small connectors Sennheiser use on their heaphones. They're quite hard to find and expensive to buy - and I would imagine they'd be quite hard to work with as they're so small. All of a sudden, those professionally made upgrade cables look like good...

    Grado Help

It should be fairly obvious I would imagine. I've not done this, so I'm guessing but the cable into the jack will either be two conductors with an overall screen, or two individually screened conductors. In either case, the ground wire is the screen. If you cut off the old plug leaving a...

    Grado Help

Be absolutely sure that the fault is at the jack connector, if it is you're lucky as replacing the jack plug is pretty easy to do. The usual place for the cable develop an intermittent connection is in the earpiece itself. Try flexing the cable at the strain relief whilst holding the cable...
