Anybody ever make custom musician's earplugs?
I am inching towards making my own CIEMs, but in the meantime I do need some hearing protection for practicing with my band. I see these nice custom ones http://www.etymotic.com/hp/erme.html but heard they cost at least $200-$400 so would like to make some. I already have ear impressions, and am...- CptanPanic

Slightly OT: Sony Amp center channel cuts out.
I have a sony amp that I have for about 5 years now, it has started having a problem where the center channel in 5.1 mode will cut out, and when it does I hear a click, like a small relay, and it will come in and out, each time I hear a click. My questions are, 1) What are relays used for in...- CptanPanic

Which first, cmoy amp or Linkwitz crossfeed?
Going from just what I've read, the crossfeed may lower the volume too much without having a amp. So I would make the amp first. Brian- CptanPanic

Built Cmoy, how to make sound better?
Removing R1 seems to have done the trick. Now that the harshness is gone, I will figure out the gain, and add bass boost. Thanks, Brian- CptanPanic

Built Cmoy, how to make sound better?
I just built my first Cmoy on a breadboard, and initially I am dissapointed. I am using V6's and source is an ipod, and the output is very harsh, meaning the highs are overly strong, and possibly distorted. I tried changing some resistors, but nothing helps. Any help would be greatly...- CptanPanic

Newbie Questions: Switching Bass Boost, and Grounds.
Hello, I am building my first amp, a Cmoy, and have 2 questions. 1) I want to add the bass boost, that can be switched on/off. I understand how to hook up the C/R in the feedback loop, but at first thought it seems I would need 2 switches, 1 for each channel. How can I do it with one switch...- CptanPanic

Bass boost
How do I use Micro-Cap to create those graphs that tanget has on his site for analysis of different C's to use in the bass boost. I already can do the one for the R, and I see the stepping parameters for the Cap, but how do I get it to run that one? Thanks, Brian- CptanPanic

Buying parts for PIMETA but have questions.
Hello, I want to build me a PIMETA, but I have a question. The Schematics and the Text says to use Op-amp AD8620, but the parts list shows OPA2132PA. I am looking for the best value so let me know so which should I use? Thanks, CP- CptanPanic
