Digital Sources for Portable Micro Amp (with DAC)

Presumably anyone who already has or plans to purchase the HeadRoom Portable Micro Amp (with DAC) has the intention (obvious) of using it almost entirely for portable use. Aside from a laptop being run similarly on battery power, what other digital sources (to feed its DAC) are being used or...

    Suggestion to Tyll Re: Wal-Warts

Tyll: For over a year now I have been utilizing with great satisfaction your old-model Micro DAC (the one that can also run on two 9-volt batteries). Recently I have been in correspondence with Jeremy re purchase of a compatible Micro Amp. One of my concerns however, in my intended...

    Media Player Options for FLAC?

I usually listen to flac-encoded music on my laptop's hard drive via SqueezeBox. with which I am very, very satisfied (understatement). However, there are occasions when I desire to listen to my laptop music (still flac-encoded) away from my SqueezeBox set up, i.e., in a more portable setting. I...

    Graphic Equalizers

As follow-up to a subject I've touched upon before, long ago, in this forum, another viable (to me) use of an EQ is to compensate for a partial hearing loss as we (or some of us, anyway) grow older. I use the BBE Sonic Maximizer, which solves my hearing loss problem just fine, and is very easy...
