The hiss comes from bad source, not the earphones. Some IEMs, like the Super.fi 5 pro (or my own E2Cs), are so sensitive that the hiss is pretty loud. Others aren't that efficient, so the hiss disappears. The problem isn't just with ipod, it's with many portable players... UE super.fi 5...

The Ibasso d2 should be availble in just a couple of weeks (at least I've heard so). It was planned to come by the end of this month, but the vacation in China delays it a bit. I'm waiting for it... at least I want to see it and hear some comments about it. I was already going for the UHA-3...

Thanks Ndskyz! Actually I just read the whole Ibasso D2 thread, so I got some info about it. There was also the price there; at least sub 200$ (without DIP chip opportunity) and possibly only 179$! That would be a very, very neat price!

Does somebody know what will be the price of an Ibasso D2 (just about...)? I'm just wondering if I should wait for that? At the moment the UHA-3 is on top of my list because of its quality for the price.
