Pure Audio Blu-ray discs on the computer... Is it possible?

This is how i would do it. Rip the disc with MakeMKV using the FLAC setting and unselect all tracks and subtitles and then just select just which lossless audio track you want. Load the mkv rip in to foobar and then convert to FLAC and split on chapters.

Thanks for the advice. Yeah only does it after using the iPod in the car. All the in car controls work with the iPod. auto playback and auto pause work fine, I can change songs no problem, it just won't let the iPod shutdown once the car pauses the unit when power is removed, you can feel the...

Ipod classic - rockbox - its happening.

The new USB driver is much better, no more taking ages to detect when plugged in to my USB 3 hub. Still need to test in the car to see if the hang on shutdown has been resolved, that was the only real thing that made need to switch back. nothing worse than trying to fire up your ipod only to...

Ipod classic - rockbox - its happening.

Try using Foobar2000 if your music is correctly tagged. Use add folder to add all your music in from your iPOD in to a playlist. Select all the files (or do it bunch by bunch) then use the right click file operations > copy to function. Set the destination folder and then the tricky part which...

The foobar2000 help thread. Got problems or questions? Ask here!

If you want to use FLAC you'll need to convert it from float to integer, which foobar2000 is doing automatically for you. You can force it to convert from 32bit float to 32bit int by going in to the converter setup > output format | change the output bit depth from auto to 32-bit (sorry, just...

best audio ripper to rip cd to 320 mp3?

DBPoweramp is about is good as you can get with a ripper. All rippers should sound the same when ripping a clean disc, if it sounds different the ripper is doing something wrong.

hopefully konseki has twigged that no differences found means that the source files are the same so any changes in sound has to be from the playback chain.

I don't recall saying that there would be a change in sound. All i was suggesting was to correctly setting up the offset for future ripping. the re ripping and comparing was to ensure that the configuration was changed correctly.

The foobar2000 help thread. Got problems or questions? Ask here!

Thats good, the ripping is clean and a match. it looks like you haven't configured the drive offset of -6 on either EAC or Foobar2000. I would assume EAC hasn't got it configured. open EAC > click EAC menu > Drive options | Offset / Speed tab. Select Use read sample offset correct and enter...

Drag and drop both songs in to foobar2000s playlist. then select both, right click one of the selected files > utilities >bit compare tracks. start with a clean disc first, error correction can differ depending on drive and software.

Install this bit compare plugin for foobar2000. http://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_bitcompare the best thing you can do is rip the same song with EAC and Foobar2000. Then load both wav files in to Foobar2000, select both files and then right click utilities > bit compare tracks. If...

Music sounds *a lot* better from my internal hard drive than my external hard drive array!

Didn't that happen in the P2\P3 era? You would move your mouse and you heard a squeal\buzzing through the onboard sound?

Both rippers will sound the same as long you are not manipulating audio afterwards (DSP\EQ\Volume change). I have tested DBPoweramp, EAC, Foobar2000 and Cuetools ripper with a clean disc and all the outputs are exactly the same, checked with checksums, all match. Any chance of getting a...

Foobar2000 SACD iso to FLAC converting my 192000hz to 44100hz. WHY?

All you need to do is either double click on the .fb2k-component file you have downloaded and foobar should prompt you ask if you want to install this component. Or go in to the foobar2000 preferences > Components. click install and browse to the .fb2k-component file and restart foobar when...

Music sounds *a lot* better from my internal hard drive than my external hard drive array!

Could it be a noisy USB port\hub? Any difference when switching between USB2.0 and USB3.0 ports for the Drivestation and Creative Sound Blaster E1. Any difference if you use WASAPI output. Maybe the low latency that ASIO is causing the issue. I doubt that it would be an issue with the actual...

You can use the Binary Comparator plugin for foobar2000. Once the plugin is installed, add both files in to the playlist, select both, right click > utilities > bit compare tracks.
