    Closed, tough, cheap phones

Hey, I've searched around but i think my situation is probably quite unique. These phones will be used in a noisy environment by people who want a taste of an album/song before they buy. For this reason they don't need to sound great, just ok. They do however need to be tough as nails, cheap...

    ACS T2: A Thorough Review

6 months later...my impressions are mixed: Positives: Overall the whole procedure was very smooth, getting impressions done etc... was a breeze. Don't be put off by this. They are not comfortable, but they are more comfortable then my Senns and Mylars canals. Comfort levels can really...

    Long-term storage medium

It's all about being relatively active when storing your digital data. I'm fairly sure no one will being hearing my music collection in 50 years time, unless there is a relatively constant interest in my collection.

It's been a while, but i think this was the paper i was talking about. It's a quick reference guide for storing media. I've posted a website i've created for anyone who is interested with a feedback survey.(See first post)

    Proof of Cable Effects?

Who is Keith O. Johnson? And more importantly i wonder if we will be able to see the full details of his experiment; assumptions, equipment etc... Until we do have this information we know nothing really. You have to ask why it's taken this long for someone to come out with a study.

Excellent. I've PM you. Yes i suppose the strategies available are valid in most circumstances. A lot must depend on economics, especially on a large scale. How do you store your digital music?

    ACS T2: A Thorough Review

Were your impressions included in the price for your T2s? I got in contact with ACS and they said that there is a audiologist in Edinburgh that include the impressions in the retail price. Maybe worth a shout.

    ACS T2: A Thorough Review

I'm irritated by the lack of information on the ACS website. I've had to email them about some really basic stuff such as sensitivity and impedence. I'm looking at the T3 now for a cheap custom option, Livewires looked good but worked out more expensive, if you take import tax, VAT and...

Are Custom fit earpieces any good?

Are Custom fit earpieces any good?

Yeah cheers they look like a good option, pretty pricy though. I wonder how acylic and silicone compare.

Are Custom fit earpieces any good?

I'm looking at these which can be attached to a range of IEMs: Enhanced Listening - earplugs - custom earphones - hearing protection - custom earmoulds - Custom Ear pieces. My question is; are these as good, comfort, isolation...etc as customs such as Livewires for example?

    Flash or High Drive

I had a T9 and was pleased with it, nice sound. Flash is supposed to be more reliable and give better battery life in exchange for a smaller capacity as far as i know, but all my players seem to die quickly anyway.

    Quality "Budget" Turntable?

I suggest, and there are many that have said this before; get a used turntable from the 70s/80s. There are a number of threads that discuss whats good to look out for. Thorens 160/150/125/125 for example are all regarded as solid options. I've got a cheap National Panasonic turntable which was...

    BEST AMP FOR AKG k501?

What home amps do people use for K501? Would a X-can pair well? I'm gonna try my modded QED MB45 first but second hand X-cans are common in the UK and i'd like to try out some tubes.
