Just to throw a thought in the simplest and most effective way to prove burn in of headphones is to take several sound clips from pre and post burnin and see if people can seperate the two groups. My suggestion would be find a used CD store and just start grabbing things that catch your eye... It usually pretty cheap and a good way to find new things your like. You will probally find a few bad recordings, but if you have a bad recording of something you like, thats where I find it worth...

I have to agree with jet87 I've had a laptop and could not give up the ability to get up and move around. If you get a decent laptop it should last you 3-4 years without a problem. In short get a laptop you will not regreat it.
