Bring it along but make sure that your roomie knows what it is before he starts fiddling with it. Anyway, do they do checks while you're in the room?- warsurferX

Alessandro MS1000 and MS Ultimate - DIY & modding [56K warning]
Hmmm... no offense to anyone here, but if the improvements here is as claimed, GradoLabs had better read this thread and make the improvements to the cans? That way, Grados will RULE THE WORLD of HEAD-FI!! Muahaha- warsurferX

Need suggestions between HD555 vs SR80
From my experience with Grados and Senns, the Senns is better suited for you. 1. While you're playing, the Senns give you this 'lushness' that cannot be experienced with the Grados. 2. You'll probably lose a little detail while listening to music/watching movies with the HD555. Then...- warsurferX

HD 600 vs. 650?
Well, the HD600 used to be the flagship and there's quite a number who still prefers it to the HD650. Why don't you try it out? For me, the HD650 sounded a tad 'too' bassy.- warsurferX

Grado for Jazz/Classical?
The narrow soundstage and the forwardness of the RS-1 is 'terrible' with Orchestral pieces. Even for piano recitals, it just... well, doesn't sound very right. What Grado's do with Rock, the K701's do with classical- warsurferX

help AKG701 or Denon2000/ 50000 or HD600
Hmmm..forget about the K701. These are fantastic with classical and are not exactly all-rounders. That said, it's best that you try them out?- warsurferX

Ditching Ms-Pro, what's next?
classical.. that's DEFINITELY the AKGs...I tried all the usual higher end full-sized headphones (i.e. Senns, AKG, Grados, Alessandros, Beyers, ATs) and nothing comes close to the 'air' that the 701s have. needs good amping though- warsurferX
