E.A.R. Inc Hi-Fi Monitors
Thanks ClieOS, but she works for a reseller (I think) and is selling new IEMs. Judging from the lack of responses, no one has heard of these before?- Yuk_Fai

E.A.R. Inc Hi-Fi Monitors
Hey all, I have a friend who's selling some IEM's, but I've never heard of them before. Have any of you? Here's a link to them: EARInc IEM's I've only tried using two pairs of canalphones (JVC Marshmallow and V-Moda Vibes), and I found that they irritated my ear canal. I know IEMs are...- Yuk_Fai

How much does Amazon.com charge for shipping in Canada?
I didn't think that you could buy electronics off Amazon if you didn't have a shipping address in the States... When I bought my mp3 player from there, I had to ship it to a friend in Arizona, who then shipped it to me.- Yuk_Fai

HD650 out of Headstage Lyrix: first impressions.
I tried listening to a pair of 650s briefly at a meet, and I didn't like the sound of them, even though it was properly amped and had a good source. The sound wasn't appealing to me, but other people have different tastes. From what I remember, I preferred the sound of the 595s more than the...- Yuk_Fai

Who can report a massive and tragic DAP HDD failure?
My iPod Color (~2.5 years old) started dying on me about a year ago. Now, it's completely dead. I'll be looking at getting a flash player next, as I like the idea of no moving parts and a longer battery life.- Yuk_Fai

Dvorak keyboard layouts anyone?
I taught myself Dvorak mainly over one summer, but it was really a year or two before I got up to speed. There's actually a thread about typing in Dvorak somewhere on head-fi and others share their experience with it. I don't think that this is the right choice for you, as it's frustrating to...- Yuk_Fai

I'll take the criticism if I deserve it!!!
I believe the purpose of ripping CDs is to have a backup copy of the purchased works. Since you sold them, I think that you don't have the rights to have that music anymore. Selling it, even at a reduced price, is still trading your property for cash. In essence, what you did was receive all...- Yuk_Fai

Sweeney Todd
I watched it, and while I usually enjoy musicals, I didn't particularily enjoy Sweeney Todd. It was a lot darker than I liked (it was Tim Burton, after all), but I can't criticize Johnny Depp for his acting or singing. He sang well (imo), and did a much better job than Helena Bonham Carter. Her...- Yuk_Fai

AUDIOFILER'S HOLIDAY & END OF YEAR GIVEAWAY - 2007 - Star Wars Trivia & Raffle!! FREE!!
Wow, this contest seems perfect for me, as I was once (and am still partially) a huge Star Wars fan. However, I'll give this up for other people to try and win, as I already have a pair of KSC 75s. Thanks for the contest though, Audiofiler!- Yuk_Fai

Study shows that eating meat raises cancer risk
Yes, I glanced through the study and it seems to be pretty well conducted. However, it's still a prospective study (ie observational), so causation isn't proven yet. In addition, they studied those that were 50-71, so I should be safe for a while Seriously though, while it may be...- Yuk_Fai

I need $25 Headphones!
Amazing... I'm so used to seeing threads w/ 4+ cans being mentioned/supported... That being said, I too concur w/ everyone else and suggest the KSC75. Koss has a lifetime warranty, plus they sound great (for the price), and they fit your budget. Close thread- Yuk_Fai

Giving Blood
In Canada, you can donate every 56 days. Plasma is replenished more quickly than red blood cells, so you can donate more frequently. As for volume, we draw 510 mL, I believe... I think that's 1 pint? I don't know why anyone would draw more than that at one time, as you only have about 4500 mL...- Yuk_Fai
