What song drops the deepest bass?
One of THE most amazing sounding movies as well...love the sound of the movie and the soundtrack both. -
Tracks with insanely extended lows
Look for the Dan Dorsey album "Time Warp"... It was one of the original Dolby show disks years ago and has some CRAZY stuff going on. It is called Ascent/Intro to Also Sprach... Will mess with your ears and mind... TOTALLY awesome. Love listening to it to show off new headphones, etc. Sproles -

"Mobile" music database and search/scan app/software
OK, I have just north of 16,000 songs in my iTunes library. I know that with the new iCloud, I will always be able to access them on my iPhone, but looking for something a step beyond that even. What I would like is a database of my music and an app that could scan (via the iPhone) a cd... -
THE best female vocals? (your favorite female singers)
OK - LONG thread here, but I thought I would throw in my $0.02. I have not seen Christina Aguillera mentioned. Have you HEARD her voice. She has some amazing pipes and, IMHO, is not that bad to look at either. Listen to her cover of "A Song For You" on Herbie Hancock's album (among... -
Covers...what are some of the best that others need to hear?
OK - I got the idea of this thread the other day when I was listening to Seal's cover of "Fly LIke an Eagle." What a GREAT cover of Steve Miller's classic from the 70s. What other covers are out there that people really should hear. There are plenty of ones out there that should have... -
Who's your least favorite musical artist?
I do NOT enjoy the whole "hate metal" genre. Not even sure what it's called, but the few times I have heard it played - I just think, "man, these guys need some serious professional help." I am sure there is music inside of them, but it's hard to see the music through all the hate. +1... -
Recommend me some albums/songs please!
Good for you to want to expand your horizons. This is a HUGE question. I mean, if you want music from all genres, you better have a good budget as this could get expensive. Here are some suggestions from my tottaly un-trained, but obsessive ear: Manheim Steamroller: Classical Gas (this... -
OK - help me with some new music and how you would classify them with a GENRE
OK, have recently discovered some new music TO ME. I am sure you all have seen/heard them all before, but I have really gotten into them and not sure where they really fit in the genre world. I am anal about my Library and like to keep things neat, organized and use the organization to... -
Best Soundtrack?
There is a compilation disk that I found a few weeks ago that is a bunch of "sci-fi" soundtrack pieces put out by TelArc. It is called TIME WARP and has some amazing pieces. Some of them are ones that will BLOW YOUR SOCKS OFF! The first piece, "Ascent / 2001" was made fr TelArc to show off... -
Changes at Livewires
I can speak to Marc's customer service and their ability t help folks who have gained/lost weight. I have lost about 15 pounds and my Trips were not fitting right and I could not get the sound to work right (due to a bad fit) Sent them to Marc and his team and about a week later I got...- Sproles

What song drops the deepest bass?
This is CERTAINLY one of my favorites...when that sounds starts vibrating your ears and going back and forth, it really feels like your brain is gonna ooze out through your nose. Intense! Quote: -
Custom IEMs...not a great fit - need your advice!
OK - got the IEMs back on Friday afternoon and they are AMAZING! I am not 100% sure what they did to them, but the proposal was that they would "redip" them to assist in a snug fit again. They looked brand new (I htink they must have buffed them or something) and they included some new, nicer...- Sproles

background music in emotional video!
I would also suggest (if you are an iTunes fan) to look at a series (multiple albums) called POSITION MUSIC. It is a series of "movie trailer" and soundtrack type music - you should be able to find something that is helpful. Also Kerry Muzzey has similar stuff available. Good luck Sproles -
What is going on at EarPeace/Livewires?
I see that some people have discovered the new changes at LW. I had some similar interactions as the O.P. But got some very helpful info and advice on a fit issue with my 10 month old Trips. I have lost some weight and now have one of them not fitting right. I think the changes will have to...- Sproles

Custom IEMs...not a great fit - need your advice!
I sent another email to LiveWires and was pleasantly surprised to have received a very nice response from Marc at LW with a note to call him live to discuss the issue and to discuss sending them in for an adjustment. I spoke to Marc just a bit ago and he was incredibly nice and helpful and...- Sproles

Custom IEMs...not a great fit - need your advice!
You know what...that is a great point. I have lost weight. I hadn't thought of that. (not a bad thing I guess) I could go back to the audiologist that did my original fit and talk to him. Any other thoughts of who to see...are there some folks better than others (generally speaking?)...- Sproles

Custom IEMs...not a great fit - need your advice!
OK- So, last November I bought a pair of LiveWire Trips. To do this I had to go to audiologist ($75) and then waited about 6 or 7 weeks to get them ($349.) When I got them I was not very impressed with the overall sound...real tinny and not much depth or fullness. I spoke with John (the...- Sproles

Song library
13,096 songs, 43 days, 14 hours, 11 mins and 36 secs of music...right at 106 gig. Backed up on 1TB hd and also online via iDrive in case of extreme issues (ie - theft, fire, etc.) Not 15,000 CDs worth, but friends tell me I have the biggest library THEY know of. Kind of proud of it. ... -
Looking for great Music related BLOGS and RSS News Feeds
As I am (hopefully) getting an iPad next week for my big 4-0, I am wanting to add to my list of e-connections some good blogs and RSS news feeds. I have asked around on another forum (totally not related to music) and have gotten some good suggestions. I thought I would ask this... -
Rush
HUGE Rush fan here...was quite helpful for me to read Neil's book "Ghost Rider." It certainly helped explain the song "Ghost Rider", but it will also help explain songs like "Caravan" (haven't heard it yet) but by the description, it could be about his travels after the deaths he experienced... -
OK Music junkies...need help identifying two songs for me.
