Dayton Meet (8/2/08) - Moved to different thread
I'd be up for a meet. I'm in Cincinnati so I'd prefer a location closer to there. I can bring the stuff in my profile.- rb67

headphones that won't fall off when skateboarding
Do they need to be full size headphones? I use the Sennheiser MX75 for running and they are perfect. Since they are earbuds, they don't have much isolation.- rb67

are young men struggling with sexual id?
Heck, I'd wear it. I'm confident enough in my own sexual identity that I don't really worry about how others see me... I think the hello kitty shirt is kinda cool/unique myself. It seems like Americans are too concerned about looks and how it ties in with your identity. Clothes are just...- rb67

KSC-75 Aha! Look At Their Impedance
They are quite efficient. Impedance isn't quite everything when it comes to driving headphones. Sensitivity is also a factor and the KSC 75's have a slightly higher sensitivity rating than Grado's. From personal experience, I find the KSC75's more easily driven than my Grado's. You should...- rb67

Bijou All Tube Futterman Headphone Amplifier
I have to say I am very happy with the performance of this amp. I built it P2P a few months ago and have been using it as my main amp. The transformer DOES get pretty warm and sometimes makes a high pitch whine (not in the headphone output, but physically) if it's been left on for a few hours...- rb67

W1000 Help
I had both and ended up selling the W1000. The RS2 just does almost everything better. IMO the W1000 has better soundstage, but the bass isn't as punchy and the mids are kind of ... strange.- rb67

What Nikon DSLR should I start off with?
The body is completely different as well as many many other things. My suggestion is to spend a few hours reading about them here: Nikon Digital Cameras: Digital Photography Review I would also recommend going to a store and just holding the cameras. They feel very different.- rb67

What Nikon DSLR should I start off with?
6MP and 10MP isn't as different as camera manufacturers would like to have you believe. I have had a D70 which is 6MP for the past 3 years and never felt that I wanted more. When you actually compare the image dimensions, the differences aren't that big. 3872 x 2592 (10.0 MP) vs. 3008 x 2000...- rb67

Omega watch advice?
Might I suggest also Stowa watches. They are an excellent value. They aren't quite Omega level, but they are very nice mechanical watches for the money with excellent craftsmanship. You would order directly from them. Customer service is said to be top notch, and the movement is easily serviced...- rb67

Job Offer!
I would take it. If you end up not liking it, you will have very good job experience you can put on your resume. You can always leave after a few years (but stay long enough to get reasonable experience and so you don't look like a quitter). I am assuming you are early in your career. This...- rb67

Grado sr80's or Grado SR125
I own the SR-125 and had the SR-80's for about 2 weeks. I'd stick with the SR-80. The termination is a little more convenient unless you only have 1/4" jacks. In terms of sound, I didn't really hear much of a difference.- rb67

Ann Arbor/Detroit anyone?
Well, it's great to see that there are a decent number of people attending. Is there anyone who can take the reigns as the arranger? I an finishing up my last semester here.
