Not really. I buy the ones that give me the sound I want to hear eg Er-4s but 580's rather than 600/650s. In my experience to upgrade is more expensive in the long run: I bought sr-225's and added flats rather than buy RS-1s in the first place.

In my experience the Stihl range is just about unbeatable - and I have used and abused several machines. Choose model according to usage. If not Stihl, definately get a straight shafted 2-stroke because the 2/ has the lube oil mixed with fuel and it doesn't really matter the angle it works...

I would probably send the Xin in for repairs/upgrade as already suggested and go with a tomahawk because of it's size and the fact I like the RSA sound. Then re-think when you get the Xin back. Which Xin is it and what is the problem?

Does anyone know how to change the color of glue please? Ideally I want to add color to either Araldite or Hot melt glue before they set to achieve a solid color rather than an opaque white. I don't want to simply paint it. Black would be good but are other colors possible?
