I just thought of one particular thing while using the X5 as DAC on USB:   How does it handle charging while used as DAC? I can imagine that the permanent charging and uncharging does not benefit the life expectancy of the battery.

They are uncomfortrably big for everyday travel imo. The black plastic though seems sturdy enough to withstand it, the cups are gfc I think (at least I think I read that once) and have a really nice silvery-sleek finish. For me, the headband positions could be a little bit closer to each other...

I think that as the Momentums are meant to be portable and for the on-the-go scenario, they intended to make them smaller by using smaller earcups. The same might apply for the B&W. Back to the D600: Big enough for me.

Does it miss out folders, or does it miss artists in the tag based library (as you said "scan the card")? The second happens if there are more than the specified max number of files (5000 atm I think). In folder based browsing on you FiiO all folders should be visible.

Well, they shure (haha.) as hell would not be worth the 400 bucks. But for 130 in my eyes they are hard to beat. If what you are looking is a fun headphone with a bathtub sound, go for it!

Just tested the android DAC thing: did not work for me out of the box with my HTC One (M7). One more nice thing i just found out: the pins delivered with the X5 are actually proteciot caps for the 1/8" outputs :)

Replay Gain is no biggie for me as my files are all gain matched in my music processing workflow (ripping, tagging, gain). But it would also be awesome, none the less.
