I have never been able to figure out how to make a simple playlist. This thing gathered dust for months because I just about gave up on it. Someone help please. Just basic step by steps. Assume I'm totally clueless because I am.- zzzzero

Rockbox for iBasso DX50 dual boot with stock firmware
1. I'm adding files to my SD card, I see them listed on the computer. However they are not showing up on the DX when I try to play them. Ideas? 2. I'm trying to make playlists again. Not working out like how I used to do it. Is there an easier way to make a simple playlist?- zzzzero

Ok, I have followed the instructions exactly when it comes to extracting the files to the SD and the DX50 internal memory. After selecting the "apply update from SDcard" I'm then told "Can not found firmware image or invalid image. Installation aborted." what is going on here?!- zzzzero

Rockbox for iBasso DX50 dual boot with stock firmware
I'm getting stuck on the restore, I installed the restore file directly to the DX50 internal memory (not the SD card) then I shut it down. After that I hold the vol button up then get to the blue screen with prompts. I then select "apply update from SCcard". After that the screen says in...- zzzzero

I kind of gave up a while back, but figured I check and see if an official and possibly more user friendly install for RB was out. I got my hopes up when I saw DX50 listed in the development section. what is CWM, and how does this function?- zzzzero

I was able to figure out the selection process. I suggest adding that function to the main directions on the front page if that is the case. The mango/RB selection still persists despite what appears to be a successful recovery, however I am certain I did something wrong. Perhaps...- zzzzero

Revert CWM to stock recovery (if you had an older rockbox installation) download stock recovery copy the zip file to the root of the internal drive of your DX50 (or where you usually put cwm-zips) Does this mean I extract the file to my computer before installing on the DX50? Also, if I do...- zzzzero

Rockbox for iBasso DX50 dual boot with stock firmware
this is super confusing, I think I have reached my capacity to understand. How do I just plain remove RB from the DX50 now? I think it's creating conflict with the latest official FM. I can't mess around with this anymore, this is way too disorganized for me to wrap my head around. I'm also...- zzzzero

Rockbox for iBasso DX50 dual boot with stock firmware
I see on the development builds section there is a DX50 RB build available now. Do we use the installation utility? I downloaded the zip but I dont see any installation documentation. Or is this a simple drag and drop procedure? Also, I haven't updated my fm for over a year and have an...- zzzzero

Trust me, I had this device for close to a year and what this forum covers still boggles me. Allot of times I ask simple questions then told to "go to the start of the forum". It' still allot of excessive perusing. It would be nicer for an audio community to be more accepting of those...- zzzzero

Does this mean it will be official soon? I have rb on my dx50 now bit afraid of updates or using themes. I'm sure I'll screw it up. :-/ I haven't updated mine since June I think. Any major improvements since then?- zzzzero

I'm playing around with the sound settings, doing allot of research and familiarizing myself with the terms in the glossary. I'm becoming more and more amazed at how these terms accurately described what I have been hearing all along, especially in terms of bass. (guess I'm a basshead after...- zzzzero

These terms for types of sounds have interested me. I like reading the glossary. I'm still not sure how to differentiate between warm and dark..:). But being a bass head myself I'm going to become much more familiar w this.- zzzzero

Ok, finally have RB working, found all of the files in the directories. Ready to go. Now, on to the playlist challenge. I'v been attempting to save current playlists but I'm not sure how to name them. They do not show up in the playlist catalog. How do I have them show up? Also, would...- zzzzero

I think I may have it already. I tried this all before, became a muddled mess for me and I ran back to the normal UI. Since my device is already on 1.5 fw, I'm going to then assume that I already have CWM installed on it? If that's the case then my next step would be to the rockbox zip file installation process you mentioned?- zzzzero

Rockbox for iBasso DX50 dual boot with stock firmware
Ok good, I was starting to wonder about all those "nos" it threw me off. I guess the main confusion I'm going through is with the first part with the update.img. That's screwing me up somehow. Currently my Ibasso is on 1.5 fw, do I still need to install the update.img file? Also, when I'm...- zzzzero

Alas I only have the 64, however its my understanding that there are different types of SD cards not just by size. I can't remember the terminology but I had to consider it first before getting my 64 SD card.- zzzzero

This is still not working for me. Somebody please help.... I tried unzipping the files and installing that way. That didn't work.
